ND Filter for Mavic Pro
When asked which accessories are most useful for the DJI Mavic Pro and all other drones for that matter, ND filters are most frequently mentioned, along with spare batteries.
Beginners quickly realize that their video footage does not correspond to the quality of videos created by experienced Mavic pilots.

The main reason for this are the missing ND filters. Necessary for cinematic video look when shooting with a Mavic.
Due to technical limitations of the camera such as the fixed aperture, images with high light emission are not as nearly good as it is actually possible. Therefore ND filters are used to reduce the light incidence and to avoid the problem. That’s why they are one of the best accessories.
If you want to know more, why filters are necessary and how you use them correctly pay our ND filter guide a visit.

Best Protection Accessories:
Since a Mavic is rarely at home collecting dust on the shelf, it is often thrown into backpacks or bags. Protective measures, which in contrast to the high purchase price of the copter itself is are negligible, are highly recommend.
The following accessories significantly improve the lifespan of your Mavic:

Landing and On Flight Gear:
Due to the low height of the Mavic, depending on the type of ground, there is the need to prevent damage to the all-beloved Mavic. Tall grass or swirled sand will not have positive effects when they get in touch with your Mavic.
As on flight gear a sunshade cover is often necessary to avoid glare to increase the quality of the recordings.

Extra Propellers and Protection:
A set of replacement propellers are always a good choice. There is ALWAYS a chance of something happening. Collisions with, for example, branches or just by material fatigue.
Why would you need to miss that perfect shot just because your prop is damaged. Bring it down, replace, and in 30 seconds you can shoot again!
Should you find any visible damage or irregularity on the props, immediately replace them.
Accessories such as propeller guards or the whole propeller protection cage, are especially helpful extras for beginners to avoid crashes due to inexperienced pilot failure.
It is also preventing that a person comes in contact with propeller blades which are razor-sharp in while spinning that fast.
However, these extras are not only recommended to beginners. Even professionals use these on difficult flights in narrow, often densely vegetated areas.
It’s a very inexpensive way to save your $1000+ drone from disaster.

Mavic Pro Batteries and Charging
Many pilots do not agree on the optimal number of replacement batteries. Depending on your flight behavior and the purpose of your Mavic flights it remains your personal decision how many extra batteries you use.
However, as soon as you choose the location where there is no possibility for charging, it is recommended to carry more than three batteries with you.
*NOTE* Never use Aftermarket batteries for safety reasons.
Since even original DJI batteries represents a certain safety risk, many airlines companies require from you to transport batteries in Explosion-Proof Li-Po Bags.
We also use these for storing our batteries.
Don’t miss our guide on How to handle Batteries.
In addition, you will find recommended chargers for charging several batteries at once, charging batteries in the car. Multi Charger will reduce the waiting time for you to charge multiple batteries. This is why they are one of the best accessories for the Mavic.

Best Storage Accessories
Make sure you always have enough storage space for your footage before you go on tour with your Mavic. Many of us underestimate how fast the space of a 64GB SD card is used especially when recording in 4K.
However, avoiding the situation to still have enough battery power left for a flight but no free SD card to store the recordings is not difficult these days and also not expensive.
Please note that not every SD Card will work with the Mavic. Cards with a slow writing speed will destroy your footage. We recommend using one of the SD Cards we listed down below.
In addition, you can seek the help of the Companion Streamer.
That’s an interesting useful accessory.
