DJI introduced a new version of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro today, called:
DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2.0
These props, along with new FOC ESCs make 2 things possible:
- Flight time up to 30 minutes
- 60% reduced noise
There has also been a change in the transmission system. Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 now features OcuSync Technology that allows high-resolution and low-latency digital video transmission.
Also now users can connect their DJI Goggles wirelessly to the remote controller.
These have been all Pros. Now let’s see what stayed the same…
Body of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 is the same as the original Phantom 4 Pro. The camera, all of the sensors, quick-release mechanism for the props… They are all the same.
Yes this means you CAN use new props on the original Phantom 4 and Phantom 4 Pro version.
Well to be completely honest, the exact same body without even making a slight color change might not be considered a CON, but it’s certainly not the most interesting aspect of the new Phantom 4 v2.0 drone.
Newer OcuSync transmission technology is limiting the compatibility with any older Phantom 4 versions. (They all use LightBridge technology)
Also the new controller only has 2 ports now: 1x USB and 1x MicroUSB (there is no more HDMI port and MicroSD card slot )
If you were thinking of buying an original Phantom 4 Pro, now, with the release of the v2.0, it is time to get the drone you dreamed about!
Those upgrades make it an awesome drone, and you really shouldn’t settle for anything less than that.
That is why I will cast the first vote towards the new DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 drone.
We hope this helped you.
